Dream?
Every human
being in the world dreams, some of us do it with open eyes and some have them
during sleep. It is said that:
“Dreams often
reveal feelings that we have hidden or repressed because dreams are a reflection
of our unconscious mind, our emotional truth”
The actual state
of the dream is physical but its content is psychological. Dreamer produces it
with a collaboration of unconscious mind and real experience. Dreams may be
forgotten because they contain a material that our conscious mind does not wish
to remember or maybe because memory recording processes of the brain seem to
shut down during sleep.
There are many
types of dreams.
Nightmare:
Nightmares are vividly realistic; disturbing dreams that rattle you awake from
deep night sleep. They often set your heart pounding from sudden fear.
Nightmares tend to occur most often during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep when
most dreaming time takes place. Because periods of REM sleep become
progressively longer as the night progresses, you may find you experience
nightmares most often in the early morning hours like 4 to 5 PM. The subjects
of nightmares vary from person to person according to mentality or thinking.
Recurring Dream:
A recurrent dream is a dream which repeats its content over and over again.
Daily life Dreams:
These dreams are caused by our daily life experiences, they are based on what
we are thinking or experiencing and are made of images of your waking life,
what you ate, drink, watch, a phone call you made, whom you met. You rarely
remember this type of dream.
Lucid Dreams:
In this type of dream, the dreamer has little control over events of the dream,
it occurs when you realize that you were dreaming but you prefer to continue
the dream, remain in a lucid state and influence the events without awakening.
Problem Solving Dream: These dreams give a message to the sleeper that will help them in
overcoming a problem in their conscious life. Dreams are responsible for many
of the greatest inventions of mankind (the idea of google, the sewing machine,
periodic table and many more)
