Theory and Approaches of Sociology
Sociology is the study of social life,
social transform, and the social basis and consequences of individual action. It
provides a different point of view on the world, by generating and implementing
new ideas and analyzing the previous ones. The scope of sociology is exceptionally broad, collecting from the study of passing encounters between the group and
individuals that how they tackle the complex situation. It is an important
subject for study point of view but it is not possible to know all its characteristics
for that reason we can just learn how to apply the “sociological thoughts” in
our daily life.
There
are two most common approaches of sociology 1, Macro Sociology 2, Micro Sociology
Macro sociology deals with the study of common
structures, groups of people, systems, and procedures that occur in them. This
approach mainly focuses on the forms of behavior that help to know the entire society.
The basic idea of macro sociology is to get information regarding the culture
and social system that people used in their life. There are several important
sociological views integrated into macro sociology for instance functionalism
that simply concentrates on the relationship between the parts of a culture.
Micro sociology is another approach of
sociology that examining the attitude of an individual. It is particularly
based on interpretative analysis as compared to statistical analysis. It
contains a theory of Symbolic interactions that simply focuses on the
utilization of gestures and face-to-face communications. The student faced a lot
of problems understanding the concept of micro-sociology and it is quite
difficult for them to write a thesis on it, for that reason we helped them by
providing them academic writing help at any time they want.
Theories of Sociology
Students should give these theories
while writing a thesis on sociology because it gives a good impression on the
reader. There are three most common theories of sociology 1, The Structural
Functionalists 2, the Conflict Theorist 3, And Symbolic Interactions.
The Structural
Functionalist
Radcliffe-Brown gave this theory, and he
observes that society is a difficult system whose parts are working together to
encourage unity and constancy and concentrates on the relationships between the
different social organizations like state or government. This theory also
realizes that there is an inbuilt drive inside the human societies to join and
strive toward stability, the unity issue.
This theory particularly concentrates on
the conflicted, pessimistic, and ever-changing environment of society by highlighting
the social, and political, discrimination of a social group. This theory states
that groups of people inside a capitalist society tend to act together in a vicious
way that allows no common benefit. This theory is commonly associated with K.Marx.
Charles Horton gave this theory. This
theory gives an idea that is based upon the symbolic meaning that an individual
could build up and depends upon in the practice of social interaction. This
theory also examines society by dealing with the subjective meanings that
people entail on things, certain events, and actions.
