  • List your name, your instructor's name, the course, and the date in the top left corner of the page.
  • Never underline, italicize, or place your title in quotation marks. Use quotation marks when you are using content from other works.
  • Create a header in the upper right corner of the page that includes your last name, followed by a space with a page number
  • Use a consistent style throughout your paper. MLA does not provide fixed rules for a few things so you have to use a single format. In-text citation and reference page must have similar entries.
