Typical applications of O-Grade tool steel include Arbors, Bushing, Chasers (Thread Cutting), Collets, Die Blanking, Cold Forming, Cold Trimming, Drill Bushing, Gages, Knurling Tools.

Ø  AIR HARDENING STEEL:

These are very versatile steels, all-purpose tool steel that is characterized by low distortion rating during heat treatment. Modern air-hardening steels are characterized by low distortion when heat treatment is done over it because of its high-chromium content. This is a very versatile, all-purpose tool steel that is characterized by low distortion factor during heat analysis, due to the increased chromium content. A-Grade tool steel includes Gears, Arbors, Cams/shafts, and Die Bending etc.

Ø  MOLYBDENUM HIGH-SPEED STEELS:

It is a tungsten type of super high-speed steel that contains vanadium and cobalt. The approximate percentage of molybdenum in the group M high-speed tool steels is 3.5 to 9.9%. It has a good combination of toughness and red-hardness. The high content of vanadium provides excellent abrasion and wear resistance. The cobalt content in this grade provides very high resistance to softening at high temperatures (red-hardness). They widely used in cutting tools such as drills, reamers, saw blades, end mills, milling cutters, taps, lathe tools, etc.
